We are always pleased to welcome new members to the
Players. The 2010 production is an English version of Johann Strauss’ comic
operetta Die Fledermaus. We are still unsure how many spaces we may
have for ladies but we certainly do have some places for men – most
particularly for tenors, or baritones who can sing the tenor line (!). Lower baritones and basses are also needed. Anyone still looking to join us this season
will need to be a fast music learner – but even if you’re not, please do still
get in touch if you would like to join us for The Pirates of Penzance in 2010/11.
If you think you might enjoy singing and mixing
with a friendly group of people with a common interest, come down to rehearsal
to test the water and see whether you'd like to join us full time.
Rehearsals take place in Evington every Wednesday
night from September through to the show, which this year will be from 19-24
April 2010. Principals have an extra rehearsal each week, on Thursdays. All company rehearsals are held at the
Mayflower church hall, Ethel Road, Evington, Leicester (near Waitrose and the
General Hospital). Directions and more information from any of the committee
