WELCOME!
The
Leicester Operatic Players are an amateur operatic group with members from in
and around Leicester, Leicestershire and
Rutland. We perform operettas / musicals each March or April at Leicester's
Little Theatre, generally alternating between Gilbert & Sullivan and other
light opera composers such as Offenbach and Strauss.
We also put on small and large concerts, raise money
for local charities, and generally have an active social diary… Groups from the
Players have taken part in music festivals and events in places as varied as
Banbury, San Francisco, North Wales and Philadelphia.
We are always pleased
to welcome new members - please click here for more
information if you are interested in joining us for the 2009/10 season.
Rehearsals started on 2 September 2009 but additional members – particularly
